Is MP3 and ACC the only formats that it will play? There are already too many players on the market, and the only thing I really see added would be the music store, which I can get through my browser.
If it can play other media formats, then it would sure be worth downloading and checking out, as Apple does write good software.
If it can not, then I would not take up my diskspace and time, but I’m just cheap and lazy like that.

I like the updates. This seems to be more user friendly (of course updates are given with that purpose in mind, I know), and the fact that it is free is appealing to a good many out there.

Well, you know they needed this to keep their loyal customers. After all with all the law suites being filed claiming they are monopolizing the market they have to do something to keep their customers coming back. It is good to see that a few things have changed and for the better.
I believe they will place MP4 as well. Have you checked the apple information on that to answer your question.

After playing around with this, I am thoroughly convinced Apple did this with the customers in mind. I find this user friendly and the cd burning feature is as good as advertised. My music from the previous release transferred effortlessly, and I can only recommend to my friends to go ahead make the jump as soon as they can. I am very happy.

I haven’t tried the updated iTunes yet, even though i received the updates to the software and Quick Time a few days ago. What is good though is that the upgrades are free and don’t cause any hardware/software issues on my computer.

I’ve been using iTunes software because it automatically converts wma files to mp3 but the latest versions requires a larger memory space and that slows down my computer. I hope this new version doesn’t require that much memory like the other versions of it.
