Apple today with a press release announced the introduction of Safari 3.1, claiming it to be the ‘World’s fastest web browser for Mac and Windows PC.’ The Safari 3.1 loads web pages 1.9 times faster than your Internet Explorer version 7 and 1.7 faster than Mozilla’s Firefox version 2. Further, Safari 3.1 also runs JavaScript at a speed which is about six times faster than that of other browsers in the market. It is also the first among browsers to support numerous web standards for a futuristic and interactive Web 2.0 experience.
Among the many features the new Safari 3.1 boasts of, noticeable features are drag-drop book marking, tabbing with absolutely no hassles, a great find that is implicit and integrated and a built in RSS reader to scan all your RSS feeds and news. Safari 3.1 also endeavors to support HTML5 through tagging and is the pioneer of CSS animation, web font support among browsers. The CSS font support is particularly laudable as it now hands over manna to designers, allowing them to access and use limitless number of fonts and striking creations.
The simple, striking and cheerily elegant Safari 3.1 scores one over other browsers as now, user will do more surfing and viewing than mere waiting for the web pages to load. The browser is available for free download on Apple’s website.

I’ve just installed Safari 3.1 on my notebook computer installed with windows XP OS. I must say I think I will love this browser. It loads pages faster than my Firefox and internet explorer. I just wonder why it starts slow on Vista.

Safari 3.1 might be a pretty good browser, but there’s no real point to it, they should just use Firefox 3 now because they’re so similar now anyway. Firefox 3 is ridiculously fast and has some awesome features too.
