To flash or not to flash? The much anticipated debate as to whether Flash is going to put up a fight to be included in the soon to be released iPhone’s SDK much in contravention to Apple’s stand of not including it, has taken an expected turn and ended in what one might term a ‘Don’t Flash!’
Of course getting itself on one of the most talked about and awaited mobile devices in history was a high to look forward to for Flash but then Apple has made the iPhone elite, fending off third parties including plug-ins like Flash. Moreover, Flash got the nitty-gritties wrong just like Sun did when they planned to integrate Java in the iPhones and then backed off from the proposal.
The drama attained its glorious climax with Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen stating “We are also committed to bringing the Flash experience to the iPhone and we will work with Apple. We’ve evaluated the SDK, we can now start to develop the Flash player ourselves and we think it benefits our joint customers.”
Adobe further clarified with an official statement that was soon to follow, hot on the heels of the aforementioned comment that Adobe had evaluated the iPhone SDK and could now start to develop a way to bring Flash Player to the iPhone. However, to bring the full capabilities of Flash to the iPhone Web-browsing experience they need to work with Apple beyond and above what is available through the SDK and the current license around it.”
Lets just hope they do work “beyond and above” and give us some good cheer flashing iPhones.

It would be nice if the iPhone would support Adobe flash and other software’s, by making the iPhone support a lot of software, it will definitely help the iPhone become more attractive and more useful than any other smart phones that is currently out in the market.

This is just one more step that would make the iPhone a bit more user friendly. Adding Flash support would be a smooth step in my opinion due to the ability to have a better experience when browsing etc. I think this would be a positive thing to add as soon as they are ready
