Apple today went ahead with its release of a brand new improved version of its much popular iPhone’s SDK ( Software Development Kit). The advent of such innovations dictates the ease with which a third party,in fact, any third party will be able to develop applications for use on the iPhone. This spells the fulfillment of a dream for many an iPhone enthusiast skilled to develop programs, games and other applications for the iPhone user. It also spells a wide range of new applications to be used and tested on the iPhone by third parties.

Interface Builder, XCode Integrated Development Environment, Instruments, a simulator of an iPhone, compilers to do the compiling, samples, frameworks and even a Shark analysis tool are the raving features of the second beta version of the iPhone’s software developer’s kit.

A tailor made version for the iPhone of the Interface Builder, Xcode 3.1 coming in its beta 2 form Integrated Development Environment, which serves as an Integrated Development Environment for application development based on the Mac OS seem to be the most significant feature  achieved by the Apple team so far .

For the uninitiated ones, Apple talks of Interface Builder as a simple tool, an application rather that can be used extensively to design and test user interfaces, to put it in a nutshell. The company said “Developers can use Interface Builder to create user interfaces that follow the Mac OS X human-interface guidelines by dragging user-interface elements from a palette of predefined controls and dropping them into the window or view they are configuring.Interface Builder works closely with Xcode to provide a development experience that facilitates the concurrent but specialized development of an application’s user interface and business logic.”
