StevekoolApple plans to webcast a conference call on the twenty third of April 2008 to examine and discus the financial results for the second fiscal quarter of the year 2008 which is from January 2008 to march 2008. The conference call is set to begin at 2:00pm EDT that is, 5:00pm EDT.

This quarter has been significant for Apple. The early days of the quarter witnessed upgraded Mac pros and Xserves being served to the masses just before the advent of MacWorld San Francisco. MacBook Air followed too close behind for the comfort of the market and was an explosive success. The end of February again witnessed New Penryn-based MacBook Pros and MacBooks.

With the release of the Time Capsule, Apple set out to masterfully design the rebirth of ASppleTV and AirPort Express offerings and even the iPhones were retouched with phenomenal higher capacity models. The iPod touch and iPod shuffle weren’t left to peace either. The new beta version of iPhone 2.0 software that was released by Apple in this quarter included a Software Development Kit (SDK) to allow the developers to play with their minds and create third party applications for iPhones. This of course was what the developers were waiting to feast upon.

Apple’s fiscal year runs from October 1st of the previous year. Though this quarter one of 2008 reported in January was phenomenal, it however failed to match up to the estimation of the analysts regarding Apple’ success raising serious concerns about the performance expected out of Apple.
